Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) Lead Teacher

Full-time, non-union, at-will position


POSITION SUMMARY: The GSRP lead teacher is responsible for working as a team member in providing a quality educational program for preschool children by planning, assessing, and instructing 4-year-old students.   The position includes maintaining required records to ensure grant compliance and meet licensing guidelines.  The lead teacher promotes a collaborative relationship with families.  This position is located at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Required - Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an Early Childhood (ZA or ZS) endorsement or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or Child Development; Certification in CPR and First Aid

Employee must be capable of performing physical demands of the job, including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, and standing for long periods.  The work environment has a raised noise level.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Employment Date:                Pending approval by the Board of Education and satisfactory completion of                                                                           pre-employment drug screen and criminal history checks.  This program and related                                                         positions are conditional upon approval of Child Care Program Licensing.

 

Employment Type:               Full time, 185 days per year, 7.5 hours per day

 

Salary & Fringes:                   $43,502 - $44,647 based on experience; single subscriber health (or cash in lieu), single                                                       subscriber dental and vision, State of Michigan retirement, paid leave
