Supervisor of EL Program Implementation and Support
Non-union, at-will, part-time position
POSITION SUMMARY
The Supervisor of EL Program Implementation and Support will provide technical assistance, instructional leadership, professional development and Title III guidance to local districts in St. Clair County.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in Education or Educational Leadership
- Demonstrated expertise with SIOP (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol)
- Three to Five years teaching and/or administrative experience
- Ability to work with a team, focus on continuous learning and improvement
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in EL instruction
- Demonstrated ability to develop and meet timelines for completion of projects
- Demonstrated skill in managing multiple projects
- Demonstrated fluency with technology used to support the development and delivery of professional learning content, including but not limited to: Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Adobe Connect, Google Apps
- Demonstrated willingness to engage in continued professional learning to enhance individual skills set related to position
- Ability to assess one’s own strengths and limitations or challenges and integrate this understanding into interpersonal interactions
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Master’s Degree in EL or Bilingual Education
- K-12 EL Endorsement
- K-12 Spanish Endorsement
- Fluent in Spanish
- Demonstrated knowledge of Title III grant requirements
- Mindset toward critical review of evidence-based practices and ability to communicate effectively results of such review
- Knowledge of cooperative learning engagement strategies
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide professional development to teachers and administrators related to EL support (including SIOP Strategies)
- Provide professional development to teachers and administrators related to Title III requirements
- Other duties as assigned
- Provide technical assistance related to Federal EL and Title III requirements

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employment Date: ASAP Pending School Board approval and satisfactory completion of the
pre-employment drug screen and background checks, Posting open until filled
Employment Type: Non-union, at-will position
96-day contract (approximately 2-3 days a week, late August to mid-June)
Compensation: $28,000-$32,000, commensurate with experience
